Hoshiarpur: A meeting of Hindu Sangh was conducted by City President Narendra Prashar. The pitiful condition of the traffic system in Hoshiarpur was discussed in the meeting. Hindu Sangh decided to meet SSP Hoshiarpur with various suggestions to improve the traffic system.
Chief Adviser Pankaj Bedi said the number of accidents have increased in Hoshiarpur because the poor management of traffic system. He pointed out the traffic problem outside bus stand because of the indiscipline of the bus drivers. He said the overspeed of the buses cause accidents and the pressure horns cause many health complications.
He also talked about the traffic problems created by the drivers of school buses at various points in the city. He alleged the traffic police of being mute spectators when such drivers break rules.
Honey Taneja and Arun Gujjar said the police installed some barricades at various places in the city but the people disobey it. He specially pointed the entrance of Gaushala Bazar from Mahavir Setu.
President Narendra Prashar said that they brought the matter in the knowledge of various concerned officials but they did not pay heed to the problem. He said they would soon meet SSP Hoshiarpur regarding the traffic system of Hoshiarpur and submit a memorandum containing the problems and suggestions to solve those problems.
Akshay Chhiber, Ganesh Sood, Ashu Gujjar, Kambi, Sahil, Harish Kumar and other members were also present in the meeting.
