Jalandhar: Punjab Youth Club and Crisp Organization jointly organized a seminar on the topic of misuse of Dowry Law (section 498 (a) of IPC) and many other women laws and women empowerment. The seminar was titled as ‘Save family, save nation’. The seminar was organized at KL Sehgal Hall at Jalandhar and the CPS KD Bhandari was the chief guest on this occasion.
The orators said that 80,000 husbands or other members of families have committed suicides in India because of the misuse of one-sided women laws. They also discussed various other affects of misuse of women laws.
CPS KD Bhandari declared the misusage of women laws as ‘Dowry Terrorism’ and steps should be taken to stop it. He further declared to lend every type of help to the Punjab Youth Club for fighting it.
President of Punjab Youth Club (PYC), Joginder Singh Jogi asked the general public to join PYC directly or indirectly to fight against this terrorism because a massive campaign is required against the ‘Dowry Terrorism’.
Pardeep Khullar, Urmil Vaid, Meenu Singh (UK), Vinod Fakira, Tarlochan Singh Lally, Om Parkash Chhabra, Dr. Mandeep Singh, Manmeet Singh Sodhi, Dolly Handa, Deepali Bagria, Munish Baasi and Anupam Goswami also addressed the seminar.
