Hoshiarpur: 11th North Indian Karate Championship will be held at Sood Bhawan, Hariana road, Hoshiarpur on 10th and 11th October. District Karate Association Hoshiarpur will be organizing the Championship with the assistance of Jagmohan Institute of Traditional Karate. The Championship will be monitored by North Indian Karate Federation and Karate Association of India.
President of District Karate Association Er. Manish K. Gupta (Billa) and Chairman Dr. Mohammed Jameel Bali informed that more than 450 Karate players from Punjab, UP, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Chandigarh, Uttrakhand and J&K would participate in the championship.
General Secretary Jagmohan Vij informed that the Championship would be organized according to the latest rules of International Karate Federation. He said that the Karate sport has been included in the Tokyo Olympics which will be held in 2020 and thus, India is a big contender.
In North Indian Karate Championship being held at Hoshiarpur, 25 players of International level and more than 50 National level players will be participating.
Randeep Singh, Hemraj, Satish Gupta, Sadashiv Gupta, Bikram Singh Patial, Rakesh Saini, Rajiv Singla, Pankaj Dadwal, Balbir Singh Lally Harta, Thakur Ranjit Singh, Rohit Gupta, Dalip Ohri, Naresh Kumar Sharma, Ankur Sood, Harish Puri, Shiv Om, Anil Dogra, Hitesh Jain, Vishesh Jain and many others were present in the meeting.
