Hoshiarpur: National Vice President of BJP, MP Avinash Rai Khanna has written a letter to the chief minister Parkash Singh Badal demanding block status for the Kamahi Devi village. This information was provided by the political secretary of MP Khanna, Sanjiv Talwar in a press release.
Sanjiv Talwar said that Kamahi Devi is a village located in the hilly area of Hoshiarpur with dense population in widely spread area and it also has historical and religious importance. He said that the people face many difficulties while traveling to Dasuya, Talwara or Hajipur for their works. So, the Punjab government should nominate Kamahi Devi as a block which will be beneficial for the development of the area.
Notably, a delegation of gram panchayats of the villages surrounding Kamahi Devi approached MP Avinash Rai Khanna regarding this demand. MP Khanna has written a letter to the CM and forwarded their demand to him.
Hoshiar Singh, Neeraj Sharma, Naresh Aggarwal, Tarun Arora, Kulwinder Singh, Sunil Sharma, Mukesh, Rajendra Parmar, Raj Kumar, Satvir Singh and many others were also present in the parliamentary office of MP Khanna.
