Hoshiarpur: The Government of India have selected Hoshiarpur and Sri Mukatsar Sahib in the pilot project of Prime Minister Adarsh Gram Yojana. The Hoshiarpur administration identified 57 villages under Adarsh Gram Yojana.
ADC (D) Harbir Singh said that those villages have been selected which have 50% or more population of Scheduled Caste people. He said that PM Adarsh Gram Yojana has been started to improve the rural infrastructure, including drinking water, drainage system, Educational facilities, link roads, ring roads of villages and cleaning of village ponds, etc.
He said that the Government have released Rs. 17 Crore for the development of 57 villages of Hoshiarpur district.
The list of selected villages :
Hoshiarpur I block : Hardokhanpur, Nandachor, Bassi Maruf, Hussainpur, Maruli Brahmna, Kantian, Bassi Daulat Khan, Bassi Nau, Mehmowal, Fattowal, Randhawa Barota, Ajram, Taragarh.
Hoshiarpur II block : Bajwara, Ahrana, Mehlanwali, Phuglana, Sahri, Dada, Shergarh, Khanaura, Chhauni Kalan, Mehtiana, Bassi Kalan, Pandori Bibi, Harmoya, Nara, Manjhi, Mannan.
Bhunga block : Datt, Chotala, Dhoot Kalan, Taintpal.
Garhshankar block: Paddi Soora Singh, Dagaam, Badesron, Panam, Majara Dingrian, Satnaur, Kittna, Chakk Gujran.
Mahilpur block : Bacholi, Dhodarpur (Teh Pachali), Barian Kalan, Khehrewal Bassi, Hakumatpur, Mannanhana, Rahali, Sarhala Kalan, Bagora.
Dasuya Block : Shangla, Nihalpur, Accharpur, Bala Kulian.
Tanda block : Jaura
Mukerian block : Jariyana
