Chandigarh: Punjab Nambardar Union delegation under the leadership of Gurpal Singh Samra met the Punjab Transport Minister Ajit Singh Kohar in his office and submitted the charter of their demands.
Disclosing this here today, a spokesman of Punjab Transport Department said that Union has demanded to avail free bus facility on the pattern of Haryana Government, exemption from toll tax for State President vehicle, verification in Revenue department only from Nambardar and ensuring the registration of concerned village Nambardar.
The Spokesman further said that union also demanded the implementation of enhanced monthly honorarium from Rs. 1000 to Rs. 1500 per month and regularize the current allowance, Implementation of the decision to provide rooms to Nambardars at District and Tehsil level and ensuring the representation of Namberdars in tehsil and district redressal committees.
Ajit Singh Kohar listened to the demands sympathetically and assured the delegation of resolving all demands on priority basis.
The Delegation included Labh Singh, Shingara Singh and the Namberdars from various districts of the state.
