Hoshiarpur: President of Social Democratic Party, Jai Gopal Dhiman has demanded an Education Regulatory Authority from Punjab Government for preventing the loot of parents by the private educational institutions. He condemned the Punjab Government for having no policy regarding the check on the high-handedness of private schools.
He sent a memorandum to the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal through the district administration of Hoshiarpur. The memorandum listed various demands for reviving the education system in Punjab.
Jai Gopal Dhiman said, “The fee structure of private schools in Punjab is insane and the Punjab Government should intervene for preventing the loot of the parents.” He further said, “Education Regulatory Authority should be formulated in Punjab to check the high-handedness of the private schools.” He demanded, “It should be made mandatory for the administrations of private schools to display the income of the school on website.”
Dhiman also demanded the regular check on the school buses. He said that most of the school buses violate the specified rules and norms and the Punjab Government should ensure the regular check in order to ensure the safety of school going children.
