Hoshiarpur: The family members of the Indians kidnapped in Iraq met National Vice President of BJP, MP Avinash Rai Khanna and pleaded to bring their kins back to India.
Notably, 39 Indians were kidnapped by IS terrorists in July 2014. Since then, no type of communication was established with them. The Government of India claims that they are safe while Harjit Masih, a resident of Amritsar district claims that he was among 40 Indians kidnapped. He was successful to flee away while 39 others were shot down by the IS terrorists.
The family members of those 39 kidnapped youths are confused whether to believe Government of India or Harjit Masih.
MP Avinash Rai Khanna assured them that the Government of India have been making various efforts to bring 39 youths to India. He said the Modi Government is committed for the safety and security of Indians in India as well as in other countries.
On this occasion, Sanjiv Talwar, Vijay Aggarwal, Rajendra Parmar, Ajit Singh Lucky, Harjinder Singh Kahlon, Hoshiar Singh, Sarabjit Kaur, Gurbachan Singh and many others were also present.
