Hoshiarpur: Union Minister of State and Hoshiarpur MP, Vijay Sampla today conducted a meeting of the officials of PSPCL. Chief Engineer RK Sahi and Superintending Engineer HS Saini regarding the Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS).
Under IPDS scheme, 70% of the amount would be spent by the Union Government and 30% amount would be spent by state government. Hoshiarpur is the first district to come under IPDS scheme.
Vijay Sampla informed that under IPDS scheme :
- New transformers would be installed in order to balance the load
- Mobile teams with bikes to solve the electricity faults
- Setting up of new sub-stations
- Repair faulty electricity lines
MoS Vijay Sampla informed that the transformers worth Rs. 36 Crore would be installed in order to balance the load. He said that these transformers would be installed in the areas of Garhdiwala, Hariana, Tanda, Dasuya, Mahilpur, Mukerian, Talwara, etc.
He also said that the new wires would be installed in place of faulty wires. He said that the problem of tripping of voltage will be solved.
He also informed that a Toll Free No. has been launched for the electricity consumers. 30 teams with bikes have been formed which would solve the faults in the electricity supply within 30 minutes. He said that the delay in solving the fault will be automatically reported to the higher authorities. The Toll Free No. is 1912
MoS Vijay Sampla said that new sub stations would be set up or upgraded with a total of 366 KVA power.
