Hoshiarpur: Hoshiarpur MP and Union Minister of State, Vijay Sampla has issued Rs. 24 Lakh for the construction of rooms in 2 schools of Hoshiarpur district. Rs. 12 Lakh have been issued for the building of Government Elementary School Sahu da Pind (Dasuya) and Rs. 12 Lakh for Government Elementary School Ravidass Nagar Hoshiarpur. He has issued these funds from his MPLAD funds.
Today, Mr. Sampla handed over the checks of Rs. 24 Lakh to the DEO (E) Mohan Singh Lehal.
It is noteworthy here that, a few weeks ago, Spot News India published a news regarding buildingless school, Government Elementary School Sahu da Pind lying in Dasuya sub division. The building of the school was broken down as per the directions of Supreme Court because it was declared unsafe. But, no funds were issued to re-construct it by the Education Department. The students have to study under scorching sun.
