Jalandhar: The Darshan Didar Yatra, carrying relics of Guru Sahiban was given a warm welcome on its arrival at Goraya and Phillaur today. After halting at Goraya, today morning, the yatra left for its next destination amidst Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh. A contingent of Punjab police gave salutation to the Palki Sahib carrying Sri Guru Granth Sahib.
CPS Mr Avinash Chander and other dignitaries of the area gave warm welcome to the yatra. Led by Panj Piaras the yatra gave darshan to each and everyone. Thereafter the yatra reached Phillaur where besides CPS Mr Avinash Chander, the MLA Mr Sarwan Singh Phillaur gave a warm welcome. Addressing devotees on the occasion the CPS Mr Chander and MLA Mr Phillaur said that we were fortunate ones to have darshan of the rare relics. He added that the devotees are giving a warm welcome to yatra at every place it has been so far. He said that besides having historical significance the yatra had cemented ties of young generation with Guru Sahiban. He said that the yatra was an excellent initiative of Punjab government and SGPC. Having started from May 6, the yatra will culminate on June 18 at Sri Anandpur Sahib on occasion of 350 years of its establishment.
Thereafter crossing the toll plaza the yatra headed towards Ludhiana where devotees had been waiting for it keenly.
