Jalandhar: The Dharmik Darshan yatra today gave darshan to lacs of devotees in the Jalandhar city and cantt area wherein it was given a very warm welcome. After halting at Gurudwara Preet Nagar and performing ardas, the yatra left for its further destination. A contingent of Punjab police gave salutation to the Palki Sahib carrying Sri Guru Granth Sahib. The chairman of district planning committee Gurcharan Singh Channi,DC Kamal Kishore Yadav, DCP Rajinder Singh, SGPC member Kulwant Singh Mannan, Charanjiv Singh Lalli and others were present. The entire area was colored in the hues of Khalsa.
Thereafter the yatra moved towards Pathankot Chowk and further towards bypass reached BSF Chowk where Punjab Muslim Development and Welfare Board chairman Janab Dilbagh Hussain and a number of Muslim brethren gave a warm welcome to the yatra. The yatra then moved towards Gurudwara Diwan Central Town where sangat had its darshan. MLA Manoranjan Kalia and MLA Gurpratap Singh Wadala welcomed the yatra. The yatra then reached Gurudwara Defence Colony where Ajit newspaper’s publication group’s chief editor Barjinder Singh Hamdard and MLA Jalandhar cantt Pargat Singh with SGPC member Paramjit Singh Raipur gave it a warm welcome. The devotees basked in blessings of the holy relics.Dr Hamdard appreciated the efforts of Punjab government and SGPC in holding this historical yatra. He said that the devotees of Punjab would be fortunate to witness the 350 years celebrations being held at Sri Anandpur Sahib, where Guru Sahiban established the Khalsa.
The yatra then entered into Jalandhar cantt where the Indian army men gave warm welcome to the yatra.Near Regal cinema the areaMLA Pargat Singh and others welcomed the yatra. Thereafter the yatra went to Raman Mandi chowk where CPS Pawan Kumar Teenu welcomed the yatra with devotees.the yatra then moved towards Johlan where Sant Jeet Singh Johlan Walian, Sant Preetam Singh Doomeli Walian and Sant Jaspal SIngh led procession welcomed the yatra. After Rama Mandi the yatra then left for Phagwara.
