Hoshiarpur: The court of Additional Sessions Judge, Hoshiarpur, Lachhman Singh have sentenced a drug peddler to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs. 1 Lakh. If he fails to pay the fine, he will have to spend 2 years extra imprisonment.
The court have pronounced the above mentioned judgement in a case registered under section 22, 61 and 85 of NDPS at Bullowal police station on 9th December, 2010.
Notably, on 9th Dec, 2010, ASI Jarnail Singh of Bullowal police station along with the police party arrested Sukhwinder Singh alias Bittu s/o Balbir Singh r/o Madhopur (PS Bhogpur) from village Manak Dheri with banned narcotic medicines in a large quantity.
Then, a case was registered under section 22, 61 and 85 of NDPS act and later filed the chargesheet in the court.
On, 1st June, 2015, the honourable court of Lachhman Singh pronounced the judgement in this case and held Sukhwinder Singh guilty and sentenced him to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs. 1 Lakh. If he fails to pay the fine, he will have to spend 2 years extra imprisonment.
