Hoshiarpur: Tiranga from Lal Chowk, Srinagar will be taken to Lal Qila (Red Fort), New Delhi and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hoist it on the occasion of Independence Day. This information was provided by Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi, a BJP leader from Sri Nagar.
Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi was here for addressing a seminar, ‘No God No peace, Know God Know peace’ at DAV Education College Hoshiarpur. The seminar was organized in the memory of Shaheed Om Parkash Bagga, former MLA Punjab Assembly.
Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi while addressing the seminar focussed on the teachings of peace by various preachers of different religions. She said, “No religion teach terrorism and allow the murder of human beings.”
Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi said that she always wanted to prepare the Tiranga at Srinagar and see it being hoisted by the Prime Minister of India at Red Fort on Independence Day. She said that she wrote a letter to the Union Ministry of Home Affairs and Prime Minister Office regarding her wish.
Dr. Andrabi said, “I have received a letter from the PMO and I will be taking the Tiranga from Lal Chowk to Lal Qila in August.” She further said that she would reach Hoshiarpur along with Tiranga in the first week of August.
Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi is a politician of Jammu & Kashmir. She formed a political party Socialist Democratic Party but later merged it into BJP. Presently, she is a leader of BJP.
She has worked for peace in Jammu & Kashmir since she was a student of 8th Class.
