– Gagandeep was married to Jaspinder about 8 months ago
Tanda: Gagandeep Singh, a youth of village Miani allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance. His mother alleged Gagandeep’s wife, her sister and brother for compelling Gagandeep to commit suicide. Tanda Police have lodged an FIR under the charges of abetment to suicide.
Gagandeep’s mother, Baljinder Kaur w/o Surinder Singh r/o Miani in her statement to the police stated that her son Gagandeep Singh (30) was married to Jaspinder Kaur d/o Darshan Singh r/o Ludhiana in September, 2014. She said Jaspinder used to fight with Gagandeep over some or the other issues.
She said that Jaspinder quarreled with Gagandeep a few days ago and went to the house of her sister Rimpy in the same village. She said when Gagan went to Rimpy’s home on 15th May, Jaspinder and Rimpy again quarreled with him. She also said brother of Jaspinder, Maan Singh abused and threatened Gagan over telephone.
Baljinder Kaur said that when Gagan returned home, he was very upset and threatened to consume some poisonous substance. She said he later consumed some poisonous substance and they rushed him to Civil Hospital Tanda. She said later the doctors referred him to a private hospital at Hoshiarpur, where he died.
Tanda Police have registered a case under section 306 and 34 of IPC against wife Jaspinder Kaur, sister-in-law Rimpy and brother-in-law Maan Singh.
