Dasuya: Varinder Pandit: A truck hit another truck which was parked at Hajipur Chowk T-point in Dasuya. The drivers of both the vehicles died on the spot.
Eyewitness Mahesh Kumar said that he was traveling to Mukerian from Jalandhar along with his sister’s husband Amarjit Singh s/o Rampal Singh r/o Lodhi Chakk on a truck. He said that their truck accidentally went on to the footpath and stopped. He said Amarjit was placing stones on road as a signal but meanwhile another truck came and hit Amarjit and rammed into their truck.
He said Amarjit and the driver of another truck Atinderpal Singh s/o Swaran Singh r/o Bhogpur died on the spot.
Dasuya police have recorded the proceedings under section 174 of CrPC.
