Mehtiana: Harwinder Singh Bhungarni: A thief was nabbed by the people at village Thakkarwal when he was trying to steal a bike. The owner of the bike came to know about the theft attempt and he nabbed the thief with the help of the people. Meanwhile, one of the thieves was successful to escape. A bike was also recovered from thief which was also a stolen bike.
People handed the thief to the police of Ajnoha police post of Mehtiana police station. Thief has been identified as Gopi.
The owner of he recovered biike, Satpal s/o Jeet Ram r/o Khothran (PS Phagwara Sadar) said that his bike was missing from 14th April.
Police have lodged an FIR against Gopi.
