Dasuya: Varinder Pandit: ATM thieves targeted the ATM of Punjab and Sind Bank situated at village Ghogra on Dasuya-Hajipur road. Thieves cut the ATM with the help of Gas cutter and stolen Rs. 5 Lakh. Theft was conducted between 3 am and 4 am.
Dasuya ASP Dhruv Dahiya and Mukerian ASP Dr. Nanak Singh reached the spot along with the police party today morning and began the investigation.
Bank Manager Surjit Singh said a team of the bank installed Rs. 5 Lakh on Tuesday evening and locked the ATM room. He said the weeper lady saw the broken ATM and she immediately informed the police about the incident. He confirmed that Rs. 5,00,100 were stolen from the bank.
