Hoshiarpur: The Mehtiana Police have arrested a drug peddler and recovered poppy husk from him.
As per information received, ASI Gurkirpal Singh of Mehtiana Police Station along with the Police Party stopped a Tata Ace vehicle for checking purpose at Phuglana bus stop. The Tata ace was driven by Charanjit Singh s/o Mohan Singh r/o Sahri.
Police searched the Tata Ace vehicle and recovered 2 Kg poppy husk.
Police arrested Charanjit Singh and lodged an FIR against him under section 15, 61 and 85 of NDPS act.
