New Delhi: The Indian Youth Congress today protested against the Land Acquisition Bill in New Delhi in the leadership of National President Amrinder Singh Raja Warring. The protest march moved from Jantar Mantar to gherao the Parliament of India but the police Lathi charged at the workers and leaders of Youth Congress.
Many of the Youth leaders and workers were injured in the lathi charge including the National President Amrinder Singh Raja Warring.
The other leaders present during the protest were Ambika Soni, Jai Ram Ramesh, Gulam Nabi Azad, Anand Sharma, Ashok Tanwar, Sachin Pilot, Deependra Hooda, Randeep Surjewala, Ahmed Patel and Raj Babbar.
The Youth workers in the leadership of Hoshiarpur President of Youth Congress Amarpreet Lally also participated in the protest. Amarpreet Lally said that the Modi Government have passed an anti-farmer bill of Land Acquisition in Lok Sabha. He said that the Congress have always been working for the welfare of the farmers and would not allow any Government to harm their interests.
Avtar Singh Dandian, Pawan Kumar Block Samiti member, Gurmail Singh Atwal Block Samiti member, Sagar Wadhwa, Gurinder Jhaj, Happy Dhillon , Inderjit Mahal, Jasdeep Singh Jhaj, Onkar Singh, Davinder Singh, Tarpinder Singh and many other leaders of Hoshiarpur Youth Congress also participated in the protest along with Amarpreet Lally.
