Chabbewal: The Chabbewal Police have arrested 5 drug peddlers traveling in a car and recovered narcotic powder from them. An FIR has been lodged against them under various sections of NDPS act.
As per information received, Sub Inspector Resham Singh of Chabbewal Police Station was patrolling at village Bohan along with the police party. Meanwhile, the police party signaled a Maruti car (PB08 U 69) to stop for checking purpose. The driver of the car tried to flee away instead of stopping the car. But, the police stopped them and searched the car.
Police recovered 610 gm narcotic powder from the car and arrested all 5 youths traveling in the car. A case has been registered against 5 drug peddlers under section 21, 61 and 85 of NDPS act. All the accused have been arrested.
Drug peddlers have been identified as :
- Rajinder Kumar alias Rocky s/o Bhajan Lal r/o Susana (PS Bullowal)
- Jatinder Singh alias Saaba s/o Manohar Lal r/o Mehatpur
- Amandeep alias Aman s/o Ram Parkash r/o Mehatpur
- Jashmer alias Rocky s/o Gurmail Ram r/o Kattowal (PS Bullowal)
- Ravinder Singh alias Ravi s/o Husan Lal r/o Kattowal (PS Bullowal).
