Dasuya: Parveen Singh Mangat: A speedy Qualis car (PB02 AA 5031) going from Dasuya to Mukerian side fell into the Hydel Canal Uchi Bassi. The car totally sank into the water of the canal. The Police was successful to take out the car after 2 hours with the help of the local people but till then, the driver of the car Shiv Charan Singh (45) s/o Tirath Singh r/o Tanda Ram Sahay (teh. Mukerian) was dead.
ASP Dasuya Dhruv Dahiya, SDM Dasuya Barjinder Singh, ASP Mukerian Dr. Nanak Singh were present on the spot along with the police party.
ASP Dhruv Dahiya said that the police came into action as soon as they came to know about the accident.
Police have been investigating into the case.
