Hoshiarpur: The newly elected Councillor of Ward No. 4 of Hoshiarpur Municipal Corporation from BJP, Mrs. Neeti Singh Talwar has declared that she would utilize her Councillor salary for the development of her ward. She said that she would accept only Re. 1 from her salary and that too for offering to God.
Notably, Neeti Singh Talwar is the wife of Sanjiv Talwar, political adviser to Rajya Sabha member Avinash Rai Khanna.
Neeti Singh Talwar informed that 5 Mohallas lie in her Ward No. 4 and she would constitute a Development Committee of these Mohallas, which would decide the utilization of the funds in the ward. She also said that a special cleanliness campaign would also be run with the help of ward residents.
She gave the credit of her victory to the residents of Ward No. 4, her husband Sanjiv Talwar, MP Avinash Rai Khanna, Meenakshi Khanna and Sahil Sampla.
