– Optician is making false allegations : Dr. Paramjit Kaur
Mahilpur: Shiv Kumar Bawa: An optician has alleged that the Senior Medical Officer (SMO) of Paldi has blocked his payment from the Health Department because she has been demanding commission for making spectacles for the students of various Government schools.
It is noteworthy here that the SMO Dr. Paramjit Kaur is the wife of a Senior BJP leader and former SMO.
Optician Charanjit Kumar s/o Kulwant Singh r/o Mehrowal said that in June 2012 he took a contract from the CHC Paldi for making spectacles for the students of various government schools under National Control of Blindness Scheme. He said that the SMO Dr. Paramjit Kaur demanded commission and he also gave commission to her from last many years.
He said that in November, 2014 he got a contract of 52 spectacles. He alleged that Dr. Paramjit Kaur demanded Rs. 50 commission for every piece of spectacles. He said that earlier he used to give Rs. 20 per spectacles.
Charanjit Kumar said that he refused to give Rs. 50 commission and thus she has blocked his payment of Rs. 7800 for 52 spectacles. He said that Dr. Paramjit Kaur has been making some or the other excuses for making his payment.

On the other hand, Dr. Paramjit Kaur said that the payment of the optician was delayed because of the non-availability of funds in the account of CHC. She said that the payment of the optician will be made in a short period of time.
Dr. Paramjit Kaur said that the optician has been making false allegations against her.
