Mahilpur: Shiv Kumar Bawa: In a tragic accident near village Tootomajara on Hoshiarpur-Chandigarh road, 2 women were killed on the spot while a child survived in the mishap. A man was also injured. Chabbewal police have been investigating into the case.
As per information received, Harpreet Kaur w/o Gursewak Singh r/o Tootomajara and her sister-in-law Harwinder Kaur r/o Chakk Nariyal were traveling on an activa scooter. 2 months aged daughter of Harpreet Kaur was also along with them. When they took a turn towards Tootomajara village near Saint Kabir School, their activa scooter was hit by a Bolero jeep from backside. An another man traveling on activa scooter was also victimized in the mishap.
Harpreet Kaur and Harwinder Kaur died on the spot while it was a miracle that the 2 months old child survived. The man on another activa was seriously injured and was rushed to Civil Hospital Hoshiarpur.
IO Des Raj said that the action will be taken against the driver of the Bolero Jeep.
