Jalandhar: Under MGNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) various projects initiate during financial year of 2014-15 in 11 blocks of districts which cost Rs. 35 crore, covered 1335 sites for development, and this project has been provided employment for 35,471 unskilled job card holders said that Deputy Commissioner Shri Kamal Kishore Yadav .
Further he said that MGNREGA is scheme that set to facilitates entitlement of 100 days of guaranteed employment for BPL families (Below Poverty Line) in financial year as such developed the infrastructure of rural area of country. He said under MGNREGA rejuvenation and modernization of ponds ,play grounds ,panchatyat houses, Angan Wadi’s, and roads has been done at priority level .
He said that under MGNREGA all works in different villages has been social audit by the department and daily progress of developing works are under observation, through which job card holder timely got daily wages.
