Hoshiarpur: President of Social Democratic Party, Jai Gopal Dhiman said, “The Government Schools in Punjab have insufficient teachers and insufficient infrastructure and thus have been challenging the Right to Education Act 2009.”
Jai Gopal Dhiman said, “Moreover, the Education Department have been playing with the health of the students as it has failed to provide the pure drinking water facility to the students.”
He said that in some schools, the filters have been installed but they have become out of order. He further said that Government have failed to provide proper drinking water facility in schools even after 67 years of Independence.
He also said that the Government have also failed to provide desks for the students and they have to sit on ground and study in this bitter cold.
He demanded that the Government should work for infrastructural development of Schools so that the economically backward people could also get quality education.
