Jalandhar: Shri Ram Naumi Utsav Committee today organized a function at DAV Institute Jalandhar for granting scholarships to the students of schools of Jalandhar. 1300 students of 225 schools were granted the scholarships of Rs. 3.9 Lakh. Other stationery goods were also given to the students on this occasion.
MP Varun Gandhi was also present on this occasion. While addressing the students, Varun Gandhi said that literate and responsible youths of India must come forward to lead the country. He also said that the students must give importance to the relations among them because the unity has strength and this strength is required for the development of the country.
Union Minister, Mr. Vijay Sampla while speaking on this occasion said that the teachers must also impart moral education to the students along with academic education. He also said that the reading material related to Indian Culture must also be included in the academic syllabus so that the coming generation get to know about the Indian culture.
Punjab BJP President Kamal Sharma, Political Adviser to CM Tikshan Sood, Opposition leader Sunil Jakhar, MP Ranveet Singh Bittu, CPS KD Bhandari, CPS Som Parkash, Sarabjit Singh Makkar, Manjinder Singh Bitta, Subhash Sood, Baldev Raj Chawla and many others were also present on this occasion.
