Hoshiarpur: Deputy Commissioner of Hoshiarpur, Mr. Amit Dhaka celebrated World Disabled Day with the special students at JSS Ashakiran Special School Jahan Khelan. The students of Saint Soldier Public School Hoshiarpur also celebrated World Disabled Day with the special students by sharing refreshment with them.
While addressing the gathering, DC Amit Dhaka said that the people with some or other types of disability have excellent qualities in Art and other fields than normal humans. He praised the Ashadeep Welfare Society for running a school for the mentally disabled children. He said that the disabled people need some assistance to excel in their respective fields. He said that the JSS Ashakiran School also make the special students self dependent by providing them skill development education.
Malkiat Singh Sondh, Malkiat Singh Maheru, BR Saini, Mastan Singh Grewal, Ram Asra, Paramjit Singh Sachdeva and many others were present on this occasion.
