Hoshiarpur: The Sadar Police have booked a migrant labourer for raping a 15 year old minor girl. The minor girl is also the daughter of a migrant labourer from Jharkhand.
As per information received, the minor girl in her statement to the police stated that they have been living at village Chhauni Kalan near Hoshiarpur. She said that about 3 months ago, a neighbour Jiwan s/o Guleman r/o Gaurda distt. Gumla (Jharkhand) called her to his home. She said that when she went to his home, he raped her against her wishes.
Sadar Police have lodged an FIR against Jiwan under section 376 of IPC.
