Hoshiarpur: Gurdeep Singh: The Rajya Sabha MP from Hoshiarpur, Mr. Avinash Rai Khanna adopted Adamwal village on Hoshiarpur-Chintpurni road under Prime Minister Adarsh Gram Yojana, a few days ago. On Sunday, 23rd Nov, he started working along with the residents of the village for the development of the village. MP Khanna’s Political Secreatry Mr. Sanjiv Talwar, Panchayat members of Adamwal and the residents of village Adamwal were present on this occasion.
While speaking on this occasion, MP Khanna said, “There are some works which require funds to be completed and at the same time, there are many works which does not require any type funds.” “The only thing required for such works is discipline,” he added.
MP Avinash Rai Khanna said that the works like, cleaning the surroundings, obeying and respecting elders, be away from intoxicants, developing a culture of exercise and sports in the village, etc. does not require funds, it just need self discipline and strong determination. He said that he would develop all such habits in the residents of Adamwal village.
He also said that he had planned a number of developmental projects for Adamwal village which require funds. He said that he had planned to install a biogas plant at Adamwal village in order to meet the fuel needs for kitchen in all the households of the village.
He further said that he had came to know that a tubewell which is used by the farmers for irrigational purpose is out of order from a long time, he would make efforts to repair it for the facility of the farmers.
MP Khanna also said that a health audit of the village would also be done with the help of the health department and it will be a step towards making Adamwal a healthy village.
