Hoshiarpur: A victim of a ‘dowry case’ died a sudden death today in the waiting room of the SSP office in Hoshiarpur. Police have been investigating into the matter. The reasons of the death could only be known in the postmortem report.
As per information received, DSP Satish Kumar Sharma said that a citizen named Pawan Kumar Bhalla r/o Hoshiarpur came to meet SSP Hoshiarpur today and while he was waiting for his call in the waiting room of SSP office, his health deteriorated. He said that he was immediately rushed to Civil Hospital Hoshiarpur where the doctors declared him brought dead. He said that they have been investigating into the matter and further action will be taken after the postmortem. He also said that the real reasons of Pawan Kumar Bhalla’s death will be known in the postmortem report.
Notably, the deceased Pawan Kumar Bhalla was Veterinary Inspector.
A close relative of deceased, Sonu said that a few days ago, a case of dowry was registered against the family of Pawan Kumar Bhalla on the basis of the statement of his daughter-in-law and since then he was in depression. He said that today they came to meet SSP Hoshiarpur in relation to the dowry case and he died in the waiting room of SSP office.
