Hoshiarpur: 17th Punjab State Special Olympics concluded today at Rayat Bahra Education City Hoshiarpur. The 3 day event was organized by SOB, Ashadeep Welfare Society, District Special Olympics Association and JSS Ashakiran Special School with the help of the administration of the Rayat Bahra group at Rayat Bahra Education City Hoshiarpur.
Paramjit Singh Sachdeva said, “All the participant were awarded with prizes in the Special Olympics. It is a rule of the Special games that all the participants would be awarded with prizes because their participation is above all.”
Chairman of Rayat Bahra Group, Mr. Gurbinder Singh Bahra was the chief guest while Campus Director, Dr. DS Bawa was the special guest on the closing ceremony of the Special Olympics.
In the Olympics, Udaan Special School Jalandhar won the overall trophy in overall in the section of big schools while JSS Ashakiran Special School Jahan Khelan won Runners up trophy.
In the sections of small schools, Udham Red Cross Special School Faridkot won overall trophy while Golden Arrow Asha School Ferozepur won runners up trophy.
In the section of District Special Olympics Associations and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, SSA Amritsar won overall trophy while DSOA Jalandhar City won runners up trophy.
Handball was won by Tara Singh Kama Red Cross Special School Nawanshahar while Bhagat Puran Singh Amritsar won second prize.
In badminton, JSS Ashakiran Special School won first prize while Udaan Special School Jalandhar won second prize.
In football, Bhagat Puran Special School Amritsar won first prize.
In table Tennis, BE Asha Special School Patiala won first prize while SSA Mohali won second prize.
In Badminton (female), Ambuja Manovikas Kendra Ropar won first prize while Udaan Special School Jalandhar won second prize.
In Boccee (male), Ambuja Manovikas Kendra Kendra Ropar won first prize while Vajra Awwa Special School Jalandhar won second prize.
In Boccee (female), DAV Red Cross Amritsar won first prize while Ambuja Manovikas Kendra won second prize.
