Hoshiarpur: Star Club Bambeli organized a Football Tournament at village Bambeli. The Tournament was stated on 31st October and today the final match was played between the teams of villages Chandeli and Paddi Soora Singh. 32 teams participated in the tournament.
The team of village Chabdeli defeated the team of Paddi Soora Singh by 1-0. The winning team was awarded with cash prize of Rs. 17,000 while Rs. 13,000 was awarded to the runners up team.
Cabinet Minister of Punjab, Mr. Sohan Singh Thandal was the chief guest on this occasion. He honoured the winning team with the cash prize and trophies.
While speaking on this occasion, Mr. Sohan Singh Thandal said that the Punjab Government have made various policies in order to uplift the sports in Punjab. He said that a Football stadium will be constructed at Mahilpur. He further said that another stadium will be constructed in Chabbewal.
