Dasuya: Baljinder Bodal: The deputy commissioner of Hoshiarpur, Mr. Amit Dhaka has banned the farmers to burn the paddy remains. One one side where the fire causes air pollution, it also burns the insects which are beneficial for the fertility of the soil.
But, the farmers are not obeying the orders of the Deputy Commissioner. The Civil and police administration have also not been taking action against the farmers who violate the orders of DC.
Spot News India captured the images of the paddy remains being burnt at village Dugri.
When we talked to SDM Dasuya, Mr. Barjinder Singh, he said that if any farmer will be caught burning the paddy remains, an FIR will be lodged against him under section 188 of IPC. He said that he had directed the police administration to take required action against the farmers who violate the orders of DC.
