Hoshiarpur: A state level function of All India Jatt Maha Sabha was organized at Mohali in the leadership of State President Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon a few days ago. National President Captain Amrinder Singh presided over the function.
In this function, the executive committees of district units were appointed. Some members were also appointed to the state executive committee.
Noted Horticulturist and Social Worker Jaswant Singh Chotala resident of village Chotala was appointed as the District President of All India Jatt Maha Sabha of Hoshiarpur unit. His appointed letter was collected by his son Advocate Gurvir Singh Chotala (NSUI leader) from Captain Amrinder Singh and Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon.
In the same way, Sarpanch of village Majara Dingrian (PS Mahilpur) Bakhtawar Singh Dhillon has been appointed as the Secretary of state unit of All India Jatt Maha Sabha.
Jaswant Singh Chotala is presently in USA and would return on 10th November. Talking over phone, he thanked Captain Amrinder Singh, Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon and Rana Gurjit Singh for giving him the responsibility of President of Hoshiarpur district. He said that after returning to Punjab, he would work for strengthening All India Jatt Maha Sabha in the district. He said that the units of Sabha will be made at village, block and district level.
Jaswant Singh Chotala had earlier also served at important positions in Congress including Vice President of Punjab Youth Congress, President of District Youth Congress (HSP), member of Punjab Election Committee and many more important positions. Presently he has been struggling for the rights of farmers and horticulturist.
Lambardar Malkit Singh Kang, Sarpanch Mukhtiar Singh Bath, Balbir Singh Veera, Narinder Dhatt, Ravneet Taggar and many others have congratulated him for his appointment as District president of All India Jatt Maha Sabha.
