Mukerian: An Innova car hit a scooty at village Bhattian Rajputan. The man on scooty got seriously injured who later died. The car driver fled away from the spot. Police have been investigating into the matter.
As per information received, Gurmit Singh s/o Sarup Singh r/o Bhattian Rajputan in his statement to the Mukerian Police stated that when he was present at a Hardware shop at bus stop of village Bhattian Rajputan his father Sarup Singh was coming to the shop on his scooty. He said that when he came onto road, an Innova car coming from Mukerian side hit his scooty. He said that his father got seriously injured. He said that he rushed his father to Civil Hospital Mukerian but the doctors referred him to some other hospital. He said that his father died on the way to hospital.
Police have registered a case under section 279, 304 (A) and 427 of IPC against unknown driver and began the investigation.
