Mahilpur: Shiv Kumar Bawa: A man of Halluwal village near here was found hanging under a bridge on Hoshiarpur-Garhshankar road near a Satsang Ghar of Radha Soami sect between Chabbewal and Mahilpur. Police have reached the spot and began the investigation.
The man has been identified as Gurjinder Singh alias Gagga s/o Avtar Singh resident of Halluwal village. Deceased’s brother Surinder Singh have ruled out the possibilities of suicide and said that Gurjinder Singh could have taken such a step at some other place. He said that he returned from Assam a few days ago. He urged the Punjab Police to investigate thoroughly and bring out the truth.
Notably, deceased’s brother Jassa Halluwalia has been locked in the prison in various criminal cases of assault. The family members of Gurjinder Singh said that some criminal gang has killed Gurjinder Singh.
Police have been investigating into the matter and sent the dead body for post mortem.
