Jalandhar: A seminar was organized by Health Department and Punjab State Aids Control Society at Jalandhar against the drugs in the leadership of Civil Surgeon Dr. RL Bassan.
While addressing the seminar, Dr. Bassan said that many of the youths of Punjab have been addicted to drugs and it has given birth to many social and criminal evils in the society. He further said that society has been imbalanced with the evils like thefts, robberies, snatchings, etc.
He also said that the youths have also been getting Aids and Hepatitis as the gifts from drug and thus the Health of youths have also been deteriorating.
He said that the Punjab Government have been working for the rehabilitation of the drug addicted youths and the youths must come forward to avail the facility of Government.
